Anopa is a Shopify integration for Framer that lets designers connect a Shopify store, sync commerce data into Framer CMS, and add functional storefront components without leaving Framer’s visual workflow.
I created Anopa after seeing a gap between Framer’s flexibility as a design tool and the infrastructure required to build real Shopify-powered commerce experiences. The challenge was not simply fetching product data. The product needed to handle product and variant structures, CMS mapping, configuration, cart interactions, and reusable commerce components while still feeling native to Framer.
I designed and engineered the product end-to-end, from the plugin interface and data model to Shopify integration, synchronization workflows, component architecture, and ongoing distribution through the Framer Marketplace.
Anopa is an independent product, so I owned both the design and engineering.
On the product side, I defined the workflows, interface, component model, and overall experience for connecting Shopify with Framer. On the engineering side, I built the plugin client, Shopify data synchronization, CMS mapping, local configuration flow, and the systems used to insert and configure commerce components inside Framer.
I also manage the product’s documentation, releases, marketplace distribution, and ongoing maintenance.
One important architectural decision was keeping the plugin lightweight and removing unnecessary account infrastructure, allowing users to configure a store directly inside Framer.
